Eye liner question

Could someone tell me how to apply eyeliner without it getting everywhere. I keep trying to use it but it never looks right.. Think about it while you are out saving the world and let me know.

    I do not have any great hints! Do you have any suggestions for blush? I think I need a creamy one!

    I don't know how to use the creamy ones. I've tried. I use MAC blush in "Pinch O Peach". I like it but I think I use too much. It looks better in the lighting in my bathroom than it does outside.
