FYI Another tidbit to keep in mind. When traveling overseas where the electrical outlets are different, beware of the adaptor and the flat iron combination. I learned the hard way that the adapter (or at least the one I used in London) heats up the flat iron to a metal melting temperature. Not only does it fry your hair, but it then proceeds to blowout, terminating the flatiron. I am still dealing with that lovely event a year later. I mentioned this to someone else who also had this happen to them so this isn't just a typical "only could happen to me" story.
Here is some info on the IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) Photofacial you can get at your dermatologist office. Many of you probably already have tried it since it has been around for a while. I did it a while ago (couple of years) on my face which worked rather well in terms of getting rid of sun spots. That is a good thing, however, I then tried it to get rid of some sun damage on my chest area which did not work so well. It actually made matters worse, more dark spots and skin damage. So I would be very careful about having it done on the chest. I have no idea why I reacted that way. So beware. I have also heard that if you are darker skinned this is probably not a good idea for you. It could give you white spots.
